Raymond Eugene Sunderman, 76, of Marion, IN, and a former resident of Huntington, IN, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2012.

Mr. Sunderman graduated from Huntington Township High School and served in the United States Army. He was employed by H.K. Porter, retiring in 1986. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church.

He was born March 12, 1936, in Huntington County to Carl and Elizabeth Gunzenhauzer Sunderman.

Survivors include a brother, Glenn (Virginia) Sunderman, of New York; three sisters, Maxine Stetzel and Eva Griffith, both of Huntington, and Myra Hower, of Warren; and a sister-in-law, Beverly Sunderman, of Huntington.

Calling is Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Deal-Rice Funeral Home-Huntington Chapel, 338 E. Washington St., Huntington. A service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at 2 p.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Rev. Dr. Richard Lofgren will officiate. Burial will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.
