Kenneth N. "Buzzy" Buzzard, 73, of Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at 6:35 a.m. at his home following an extended illness of ALS.

Mr. Buzzard retired from CSX Railroad in 2003 after 32 years of service.

He was born Oct. 9, 1939, in Huntington to Lessel and Bernice Buzzard. He married Julie Goff on Feb. 10, 2001. His wife survives.

Additional survivors include a daughter, Debra Buzzard, of Huntington; two sons, David (Susan) Buzzard, of Plano, TX, and Gregory Buzzard, of Fort Wayne; two sisters, Carol Underhill, of Fort Wayne, and Una (Ken) Byrnes, of Tucson, AZ; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Preferred memorials are gifts to Heartland Hospice, of Fort Wayne.

Midwest Funeral Home and Crematorium, Fort Wayne, is in charge of arrangements.
