Harold G. 'Bud' Larr

Harold G. "Bud" Larr, 93, of Warren, IN, died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, at 8:15 p.m. at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.

A lifelong Huntington County resident, Mr. Larr attended Union Township School and served nine years in the United States Navy. He worked at The Majestic Company, Huntington, and retired from General Motors/Fisher Body Division, in Marion. He attended Salamonie Church of the Brethren.

He was born Dec. 7, 1918, in Huntington to Earl and Leah Hipskind Larr. He married Betty Marie Yocum on June 1, 1951. His wife preceded him in death on Dec. 17, 1987.
Survivors include a daughter, Rebecca "Becky Ann" (Larry) Larr Lance; a sister, Virginia Larr Scher, of Huntington; and two grandsons, Justin Ryan Lance and Jared Michael Lance.

Calling is Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Applegate Chapel of Heritage Pointe, 801 Huntington Ave., Warren. A service will be held at Applegate Chapel on Tuesday, Oct. 16, at 11 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Rev. Larry Lance and Rev. Rick Hawks will officiate. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Warren.

Preferred memorials are gifts to Fort Wayne Area Youth for Christ; Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne; or Heritage Pointe, Warren.
