Dale E. Hacker, 91, of Warren, IN, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, at 8:04 p.m. at Heritage Pointe, in Warren.
Mr. Hacker, a 1939 graduate of Lancaster Township High School, was a self-employed farmer. He retired from International Harvester, Fort Wayne, in 1982, and was the area sales director for Conklin sales. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, in Huntington, the Gideons International Huntington Camp, Huntington Kiwanis Club and Huntington County Pork Producers.
He was born Dec. 1, 1920, in Jackson Township, Wells County, to Benjamin Frederick and Mary Lawrence Hacker. He married Janice Wiley on July 4, 1941. His wife survives.
Additional survivors include a son, John E. (Sherry) Hacker, of Huntington; three grandchildren, Julie A. (Kenny) Wilson, of Huntington; Natalie S. (Doug) McCoy, of Snoqualomie, WA; and David (Mona) Rich, of Zionsville; a step grandson, Shane Bennett, of Bluffton; nine great-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Calling is Friday, Oct.19, 2012, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1555 Flaxmill Rd., Huntington. A service will be held at the church on Saturday, Oct.20, 2012, at 10 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Lancaster Cemetery, Huntington County.
