Emory J. Horne, 77, of Warren, IN, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at Heritage Pointe, in Warren.

Mr. Horne was a millwright and had been employed by General Motors-Fisher Body, in Mario. He was a member of the Fisher Body Sympathy Club, the UAW and American Legion Post 85 color guard and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, both in Huntington. He served a total of 31 years in the United States Air Force, United States Army and United States Navy.

He was born July 20, 1935, in York, PA, to Emory and Hester Smelser. He married Betty J. Nolan on June 18, 1960, in Lake City, TN. His wife survives.

Additional survivors include four daughters, Vicky Gordon, of Huntington; Terry Aragon, of Kokomo; Penney Bronnenberg, of Fort Wayne; and Sharon Saelk, of York, PA; four sons, Dennis Nolan, of Knoxville, TN; James Horn, of Warren; Ronnie Horn, of Red Lion, PA; and Ricky Horn, of Leoa, PA; 19 grandchildren; and 46 great-grandchildren.

Calling is Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Glancy-H. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 203 N. Matilda St., Warren. A service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, with Gerald Moreland officiating. Interment, with full military rites, will follow at the Marion National Cemetery, Marion.
