Dale C. Sparks, 90, of Warren, IN, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at Heritage Pointe in Warren.
Mr. Sparks was a 1939 graduate of Warren High School. He was a past president of the Warren Kiwanis, served 26 years on the REMC board, was a 50-year member of the King Masonic Lodge in Warren, the Scottish Rite and Shriner's in Fort Wayne and had been a 10-gallon blood donor. He was a long-time farmer and he also sold farm equipment and seed corn.
He was born Oct. 29, 1921, in Warren to Chester and Lena Colbert Sparks. He married Carolyn Dyson on Sept.11, 1949, in Warren. His wife survives.
Additional survivors include a son, Robert D. (Mallie) Sparks, of Warren; two daughters, Jean (Kenneth) Fishbaugh, of Spencerville, and Lisa (Dale) Dillon, of Fishers; a daughter-in law - Cherryl Sparks, of Rochelle, IL; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Calling is Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Heritage Pointe-Applegate Chapel, 801 Huntington Ave., Warren. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m., with Rev. Howard Cress, Rev. Edwin Clark and Gerald Moreland officiating.
