Lucille Forst, 89, of Roanoke, IN, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at 8:10 p.m. at Miller's Merry Manor in Garrett.

Mrs. Forst began her career as a clerk at Rogers Market and retired from Hoosier Foods in 2006. She was a member of Seminary United Methodist Church and was active in several church and community organizations.

She was born June 16, 1923, in Huntington County to John and Linnie Forsythe Pressler. She married Paul W. Forst on Sept. 28, 1941. He preceded her in death in May of 1981.

Survivors include a son, Eric (Nancy) Forst, of Garrett; three grandchildren, Terry Shake, Tim (Dorothy) Shake and Tami (Larry) Shake Arreguin; 12 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Calling is Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Roanoke Memorial Chapel of Deal-Rice Funeral Homes, 240 Crestwood Drive, Roanoke. A service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, at 11 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Glenwood Cemetery, Roanoke.

Preferred memorials are gifts to Seminary United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
