Geraldine M. 'Gerry' Storey

Geraldine M. "Gerry" Storey, 97, of Huntington, IN, died Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at 12:24 p.m. at The Tipton House in Huntington, where she had been residing.
Mrs. Storey was a homemaker and operated the Sunny Crest Chicken Hatchery. She was a 78-year member of the American Legion Post 7 Auxiliary, serving as past president, a member of the Indiana Audubon Society and the National Audubon Society. She was a member of the Northeast Iris Association where she served as past president, and the American Iris Association. She had her pilot's license and flew her Aeronca Trainer Aircraft for many years. She graduated in 1933 from Huntington High School.
She was born May 11, 1915, in Huntington County to Harry D. and Bertha I. Molar Armstrong. She married Henry L. Storey on Sept. 2, 1932, in Huntington. He preceded her in death on Sept. 10, 1979.
Survivors include a son, Lawrence E. (Donna) Storey, of Huntington; two daughters, Sandra L. Watkins and Ellen M. (Loy) Eppard, both of Huntington; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren.
Calling is Monday, October 29, 2012, at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. Burial will be held in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County.
