Audrey M.G. Waldron, 85, of Warren, IN, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at 8:15 p.m. at Heritage Pointe, in Warren.
Mrs. Waldron graduated from Hazelton Senior High School in 1945 and studied at Penn State University for two years. She owned Garrett Travel, in Alexandria, for nine years. She organized the Water Festival in Markle for several years and had served as a lifeguard at Markle Park. She had attended the Methodist Church and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was born July 24, 1927, in Hazelton, PA, to Frederick C. and Carrie Davies Wunderlich. Her first marriage was to Donald Waldron. She later married Radford Garrett.
Survivors include two sons, Gary W. (Debra) Waldron, of Markle, and Mark F. (Robin) Waldron, of Franklin; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Calling is Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee St., Markle. A service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at 11 a.m., with Gerald Moreland officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.
