Sarah Jayne Weber, 87, of Tucson, AZ, and formerly of Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012 in Tucson.
Mrs. Weber graduated from Indiana University in 1945. She worked at the Huntington Herald-Press and later taught school in Lancaster before becoming a housewife.
She was born Dec. 8, 1924 in Huntington to Jacob and Marie Skully Young. She married Henry Eldon Weber in 1945, and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Stephen (Rita) Weber, of Machesney Park, IL, and Patrick Weber, of Tucson, AZ; a daughter, Susan (Thomas) Leedy, of Huntington; five grandchildren, Jonathan Weber, Chris Weber, Michael Weber, Daniel Leedy and Megan Leedy; a stepgrandchild, Matt Lucas; three great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
Calling is Friday Nov. 30, 2012, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 903 N. Jefferson St. Huntington, with a Memorial Mass at 10:30 a.m. Rev. John Pfister will preside. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington.
