Phillip G. Grodrian

Phillip G. Grodrian, 75, of Huntington, IN, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, of injuries he suffered in a motorcycle accident on Oct. 25, 2012.

Mr. Grodiran worked for many years at Locke Steel Chain, Huntington, and retired from Wayne Metal. He served with the National Guard from 1954 to 1964. He was a member of the Loon Creek Church of the brethren.

He was born Feb. 13, 1937, in Allen County to George and Ruth Ewert Grodrian. He married Darlene Dillon on Aug. 16, 1964, in Warren. His wife survives.

Additional survivors include three daughters, Valerie (Rick) Brown, of Fort Wayne, and Stephanie Ort and Natalie (Joe) Fouts, both of Huntington; six grandchildren, Colin Brown, Ryan Brown, Kyle Brown, Stacy Dennis, Brandi Garza and Alex Fouts; and three great-grandchildren.

Calling is Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington. A service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at 2 p.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Star of Hope Cemetery.

Preferred memorials are gifts to the Loon Creek Church of the Brethren or the American Diabetes Association, both in care of the funeral home.
