Glen E. Bowman, 82, a former resident of Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at 3:14 p.m. at Covington Manor, Fort Wayne.

Mr. Bowman was a 1951 graduate of Huntington High School. He drove a school bus for the Huntington County Community School Corporation for 20 years.

He was born Nov. 22, 1930, in Huntington, to Russell J. and Dorotha Stoltz Bowman. He married Shirley E. Knipp on Dec. 31, 1953, in Huntington. His wife preceded him in death on Nov. 9, 1998.

Survivors include four sons, Daniel E. (Dalene) Bowman, of Wabash; James T. (Mary ) Bowman and G. David (Susan) Bowman, both of Huntington; and Joseph E. Bowman, of Kendallville; two sisters, Phyllis (Robert) Swain, of Huntington, and Pauline Gephart, of Yuma, AZ; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A companion, Jan Collins, of Fort Wayne, also survives.

Calling is Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington. A service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at 10 a.m., with Rev. Doug Shaw officiating. Interment will be at the Lancaster Cemetery.
