Muriel R. Williams

Muriel Ruth Williams, 98, of Kansas City, MO, and having ties to Huntington County, IN, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at the home of her niece, Donna Vokolek, in Kansas City.

Mrs. Williams, a 1933 graduate of Argonia (KS) High School, attended Colorado Springs (CO) Bible College and graduated from Asbury College in Wilmore, KY. She earned her master's degree from Ball State University, Muncie.

She was an elementary teacher who had taught at Poplar Bluff, in Bluffton, and Lancaster Elementary, in Huntington County. She retired in 1980. She was a member of the Indiana State Teachers Association and the Christian Campers Fellowship. She attended Emmanuel Freewill Baptist Church, Wabash. She moved to Kansas City five years ago from Wabash.

She was born March 5, 1941, in Greeley, NE, to George and Viva Kelley Baldwin. She married Max G. Williams on Nov. 28, 1953, in Indianapolis. Her husband preceded her in death on May 26, 1999.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at 10:30 am. at the M.R.E. Cemetery, Berne. Rev. Scott Real will officiate.

Preferred memorials are gifts to Wabash-Miami Home Health Care and Hospice.
