Larry L. Girvin

Larry L. Girvin, 59, of Markle, IN, died early Friday morning, Dec. 7, 2012, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne after battling cancer since March.

A lifelong resident of Markle, Mr. Girvin was owner-operator of Girvin Tree Service in Markle for more than 25 years. He coached Minor League Baseball in Markle for many years. He was a founding member of Tree City USA of the Markle area.

He was born Oct. 19, 1953, in Bluffton to Hubert and Barbara Caley Girvin. His mother survives in Markle.

Also surviving are a son, Garrett Girvin, of Warren; a daughter, Kerry Girvin, of Bluffton; two brothers, Gary E. Girvin, of Fishers, and Vincent A. Girvin, of Markle; a sister: Lisa (Brian) Street, of Markle; and two grandchildren, Jylar and Jaslyn Girvin.

Calllng is Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee St., Markle. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the Markle Cemetery.
