Angelia L. Briggs

Angelia Louise Briggs, 46, of Indianapolis, IN, and a native of Huntington, IN, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, after a prolonged illness at Harrison Terrace in Indianapolis.

Ms. Briggs graduated from Huntington North High School in 1984 and Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne in 1989 with a degree in accounting. She worked part-time in retail for many years and as a bookkeeper and office manager for Laundry & Tan Connection in Indianapolis for 15 years until her illness forced her to retire.

She was born Sept. 18, 1966, in Huntington to Robert E. and Judith K. Emley Briggs.

Survivors include two brothers, Corey Briggs, of Indianapolis, and Troy Briggs, of Irving, TX; a sister, Natalie Briggs, of Indianapolis; and two grandmothers, Mrs. Richard (Jane) Briggs, of Carmel, and Mrs. Russell (Louise) Emley of Huntington.

She is also survived by a companion, Michael Karnes, of Indianapolis.

Calling is Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington, with funeral services following at 11 a.m., with Rev. John Pfister officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington.
