Dorothy A. Weinley

Dorothy A. Weinley, 73, of Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, at 12:15 p.m. at the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Weinley retired from Memcor after 43 years of service as a group leader. She was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Huntington.

She was born April 1, 1936, in Huntington to Emerson Dale and Florence Lucille Caley Young. She married Earl Dean Weinley on Sept. 19, 1959, at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Huntington. Her husband preceded her in death on May 30, 2002.

Survivors include three sons, Robert (Doras) Weinley, Art (April) Weinley and Paul Weinley, all of Huntington; a daughter, Barbara Gressley, of Warsaw; a brother, Robert (Judy) Young, of Ohio; a sister, Jackie Dimond, of Huntington; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A servicewas held Friday, Sept.11, 2009, at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Huntington. Dr. Rev. Richard Lofgren officiated. Burialwas at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Huntington County.

Pallbearers were Robert Pike, Jack Slusser, Jack Schonerer, George Johns, Lowell Richardson and Tyler Karst. Honorary pallbearers were Doug Hartle, Lisa Brown, Josh Ray, Nicole Karst, Barb Jones, Emily Jones, Sierra Dinius and John Ray.

Preferred memorials are gifts to St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington, IN 46750.
