Marilyn A. Prows, 70, of Marion, IN, and having ties to Huntington, IN, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at 7:35 a.m. after fighting a rare genetic sarcoma.
Ms. Prows attended Marion public schools. She retired from United Technologies, Huntington after more than 30 years. Previously, she worked as a housekeeper at the Hart Motel in Marion.
She attended Westside Assembly of God and New Life Community Church, and was a member of S.A.L.T. singles group.
She was born July 26, 1942, in Marion to Clarence and Lottie Durkes Prows.
Survivors include two brothers, Phillip E. (Mary L.) Prows, of Marion, and Richard T. Prows, of Livingston, TX; and a sister-in-law, Yvonne Prows, of Lady Lake, FL.
Calling is today, Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City. A funeral service will be Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. David Grieve officiating. Burial will be in Grant Memorial Park, Marion.
