Edith Tyndall, 73, with relatives in Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at 2 p.m. at her residence in Bluffton.
Mrs. Tyndall came to the United States from Germany in 1959. She worked as a custodian in Bluffton schools for more than 10 years, retiring in 2004. She also worked for many years cleaning homes in the Bluffton area.
She was born April 11, 1939, in Eschwege, Germany, to Albert and Hedwig Gross.
Survivors include a daughter, Pansey C. (Dennis) Bobay, of Ossian; a son, Rusty K. Sliger, of New Haven; two sisters, Ursula Gross and Hannelore Gross, both of Germany; a brother, Heinz Gross, of Germany; a grandson, C.J. (Jillian) Fields, of Huntington; and three great-grandchildren.
Calling will be Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Thoma/Rich, Chaney & Lemler Funeral Home, 308 W. Washington St., Bluffton. There will be no services.
Preferred memorials are to Tony Garton's "Buckets for Santa" program through the funeral home.
