Miriam Sims, 91, of Huntington, IN, died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2012, at 5:05 a.m. at Tipton House, in Huntington.

Mrs. Sims had worked as a secretary and operated a business with her husband.

She was born May 2, 1921, in Newark, NJ, to Meyer and Hannah Cowen Geller. She married Marvin Sims on Nov. 25, 1941. Her husband preceded her in death in November 2005.

Survivors include a son, Allen (Ann) Sims, of Huntington; a granddaughter, Elizabeth "Liz" (Dave) Karst, of Huntington; and two grandchildren.

A service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at 11 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service, at Christ the King Episcopal Church, 1224 N. Jefferson St., Huntington. Rev. Rich Miller will preside.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Redkey, with M.J.S. Mortuaries, of Redkey, in charge.
