Sally D. Lewellen

Sally Diane Lewellen, 45, of Hartford City, IN, and a native of Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009, at 11:45 p.m. at her home.

Mrs. Lewellen was a registered nurse and had been employed by the Bluffton Regional Medical Center for 20 years. She was a member of McNatt United Methodist Church. She was a 1982 graduate of Huntington North High School and a graduate of Ball State University.

She was born May 8, 1964, in Huntington. She was preceded in death by her father, Ray A. Woodward, and is survived by her mother and stepfather, A. Diane Vickrey Winkler and Ron Winkler, of Warren. She married Mark D. Lewellen on June 9, 1984, in Markle. Her husband survives.

Additional survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Lewellen and Natalie Lewellen, both of Hartford City; a sister, Sarah (Jim) Stoffel, of Bluffton; a brother, Shawn (Jennifer) Woodward, of Salisbury, NC; a stepsister, Tara Bower, of Plum Tree; three stepbrothers, Thayne Winkler, of Fort Wayne, and Todd Winkler and Trent Winkler, both of Markle; and her grandmother, Alma Woodward, of Markle.

Calling is Friday, Sept. 11, 2009, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Warren Church of Christ, 302 N. Wayne St., Warren. A service will be held at the church on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, at 11 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Rev. Bill VanHaften, Todd Winkler and Mark Vickrey will officiate. Burial will be at Asbury Cemetery, Wells County.

Preferred memorials are gifts to the McNatt United Methodist Church Building Fund, 8343S-1000W-90, Montpelier, IN 47359, or to Family Hospice of Northeast Indiana, 265 W. Water St., Berne, IN 46711.
