Wendell Gray, 93, of Marion, IN, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at 7:35 a.m. at Heritage Pointe, Warren.

Mr. Gray retired from Cubberly's Wholesale, where he worked in sales and accounting. He had also farmed. He was a member of Central Christian Church, Marion, and the Good Sam Camping Club. He volunteered for Meals on Wheels and was on the board of the Area 6 Council on Aging.

He was born in Madison County, IN, to Ross and Mabel Tomlinson Gray. He married Mary Helen Carey on April 11, 1948. His wife preceded him in death on May 4, 2009.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda (Eddy) Owen, of Marion, and Connie (Wilson) Rumberger, of Naples, FL; a sister, Lois Skinner, of Sparta, MI; a brother, Merrell Gray, of Swayzee; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A service was held Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, Marion, with Rev. Mick Simpkins officiating. Burial was at Grant Memorial Park, Marion.
