Doris E. Ballard, 97, of Fort Wayne, IN, and having family members in Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Ballard, a native of Fort Wayne, had been employed by International Harvester for 25 years, retiring in 1977. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ and Star of the East Chapter 514 of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include two grandsons, Steven Easley, of Orlando, FL, and Michael (Peggy) Easley, of Huntington; and two great-grandsons.

Calling is Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne. A service will be held on Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at 2 p.m., with calling one hour prior to the service, at Salem United Church of Christ, 2401 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
