Elmo L. Ufheil, 97, of Huntington, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at 10:25 a.m. at The Heritage of Huntington.

Mr. Ufheil graduated from Huntington High School and served in World War II with the Army Air Corps. He retired from Dana Corp. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Huntington.

He was born Oct. 19, 1915, in Huntington to Peter and Teresa Bogner Ufheil.

Calling is Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., with recitation of the rosary at 6 p.m., at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at 10 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry St., Huntington. Rev. Ron Rieder and Rev. Sebastian Twinomugabi will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington.

Memorial gifts may be made to SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church for Masses or to Catholic Charities, both in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home.
