Helen Louise Hollinger, 96, of Goshen, IN, and having family members in Huntington, IN, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012,

Mrs. Hollinger was a 1937 graduate of Manchester College, where she studied mathematics and was named valedictorian of her class. She taught math and physical education in Ossian for one year after graduating. She earned a master of religious education degree from Bethany Seminary in 1946.

She assisted her husband in serving Church of the Brethren congregations in Ohio, Indiana and Illinois and had been a member of the West Goshen Church of the Brethren, Goshen, for many years. She had been a resident of Miller's Merry Manor, Wakarusa, for the past three years.

She was born Feb. 6, 1916, near Auburn, MI, to Ralph and Marie Morris Darley. She married Rev. Kenneth Hollinger on June 1, 1938. Her husband preceded her in death on Sept. 19, 1992.

Survivors include four sons, John (Carol) Hollinger, of Fishers; Richard (Dianne) Hollinger, of Huntington; James (Judy) Hollinger, of Goshen; and Roger (Linda) Hollinger, of New Paris; a daughter, Beth Flory, of Davis, CA; 13 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at 2:30 p.m., with calling beginning at 1 p.m., at the West Goshen Church of the Brethren, 1200 Berkey Ave., Goshen.
