Norma M. Vickery, 82, of Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at Rush University Medical Center, Chicago, IL.
Mrs. Vickery graduated from Union High School in 1948. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, where she served as a Sunday school teacher for more than 50 years.
She was born June 15, 1930, in Huntington to Roy E. and Nellie Fisher Beeching. She married Eugene Vickery on Dec. 1, 1951, in Huntington, and he survives.
Additional survivors include two sons, David (Katrina) Vickery, of Indianapolis, and Dan (Diane) Vickery, of Monument, CO; four daughters, Carolyn (Virgilio) Torres, of Hatillo, Puerto Rico; Bonita (David) Ringewold, of Montague, MI; Phyllis (Mitchell) Pakosz, of Posen, IL; and Jeanne (Doug) Moore, of Bethalto, IL; a brother, Omer (Shirley) Beeching, of Lowell; 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Calling is Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1555 Flaxmill Road, Huntington. A service will be held at the church on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, at 2 p.m. Rev. Keith White and Dr. David Roland will officiate. Burial will be at Union Cemetery, Huntington County.
