Rev. Chester F. Pasko

Rev. Chester F. Pasko, 91, of Muncie, IN, and a native of Huntington, IN, died Wednesday morning, Sept. 9, 2009, at his home.

Rev. Pasko was a pastor in the Church of the Nazarene for 51 years, serving churches in Parker City, Fort Wayne, Ossian, Yorktown, Portland and Muncie. He received the Generational Leadership Award from the Northeastern Indiana District of the Church of the Nazarene in 2005. He served on the board of trustees at Olivet Nazarene College and on the Campground Board of Trustees for the church. He was a member of the Southside Church of the Nazarene, Muncie, and the Church of the Nazarene Minister's Association.
He graduated from high school in Huntington and earned a degree from Olivet Nazarene College.

He was born Dec. 10, 1917, in Huntington County to Thomas Frank and Grace Plasterer Pasko. His wife of 61 years, Audrey M. Pasko, preceded him in death in 2000.
Survivors include a daughter, Connie M. Hazlet; two sons, Chester Lamar (Marsha) Pasko and Thomas Eugene (Joyce) Pasko, both of Urbana, OH; a sister, Nellie Boyer, of Urbana, OH; six grandchildren, Michael Hazlet, Angela (Paul) McJunkin, Brian (Jessica) Pasko, Tamara (Julio) Portillo, Christopher (Amy) Pasko and Kimberly Hannan; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Calling is Friday, Sept. 11, 2009, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Southside Church of the Nazarene, 3500 W. Fuson Road, Muncie. A service will be held at the church on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, at 10 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, at 3 p.m. at Star of Hope Cemetery, Huntington.
