Mark A. Russell, 56, of Uniondale, IN, and having family members in Huntington, IN, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Mr. Russell was employed as a store detective for Ames Department Stores until becoming disabled in 1991. He served in the United States Army from 1974 to 1977.

He was born July 16, 1956, in Marion to Eugene Carl and Shirley Rose McBride Russell. He married Claudine Bleekey on May 2, 1981, in Bluffton. His wife survives.

Additional survivors include a daughter, Stacie Russell, of Uniondale; a brother, Terry Russell, of Indianapolis; a sister, Debra Adams, of Huntington; and a granddaughter.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2013, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Mr. Russell's home, 0872 E. U.S.-224, Uniondale.

Midwest Funeral Home and Cremation Society, Fort Wayne, was in charge of arrangements.
