John L. Cull, 97, of Huntington, IN, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at 4:50 p.m. at The Heritage of Huntington.
Mr. Cull graduated from Huntington High School in 1933 and from International Business College, Fort Wayne, in 1937. He served as a special agent in the Counter Intelligence Corps during World War II, from 1942 to 1946, and the Korean Conflict, from 1950 to 1952. He worked for 32 years as a manager at Huntington Laboratories, retiring in 1983. He was a member of Central Christian Church and Wabash Elks Lodge 471.
He was born Sept. 4, 1915, in Huntington to Frank J. and Mayme G. Horrell Cull. He married Evelyn Patrice Fling on April 7, 1951, and she preceded him in death on Dec. 27, 1993. His second marriage was to Betty Griffith Lear, and she preceded him in death on Dec. 8, 2000.
Survivors include a daughter, Catherine J. (Donald) Clark, of Chicago, IL.
Calling is Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington. A service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at 10 a.m., with Dr. Sam Young officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
