Marcelline J. Garrett, 74, of Huntington, IN, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at Miller's Merry Manor, Huntington.
Mrs. Garrett graduated from Spencer High School in Spencer, NE. She and her husband formerly owned the Hoosier Motel in Huntington for 24 years.
She was born June 10, 1937, in Spencer, NE, to Jacob and Margaret Classen. She married Charles Garrett on July 27, 1959, in Chicago, IL. He preceded her in death after 40 years of marriage.
Survivors include two sons, David (Tina) Garrett, of Huntington, and Dan (Gloria) Garrett, of Rockford, MD; two daughters, Gretchen (Scott) Comb, of Macclenny, FL, and Mary (Richard) Reed, of Huntington; three sisters, Marion Luber, of O'Neill, NE; Martha Pfifer, of Spencer, NE; and Jo Ann Classen, of South Dakota; two brothers, Paul Classen and Joe Classen; and 12 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at 2:30 p.m. at The Awakening Community Church, 235 Safari Trail, Huntington.
