Martha Jean Mauman, 85, of Huntington, IN, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at 4:30 p.m. at Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Lafontaine.
Mrs. Mauman was a 1944 graduate of Roanoke High School. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, of Huntington, and was involved with the Forks of the Wabash, also of Huntington.
She was born July 26, 1927, in Roanoke to Walter and Grace Rice Wohlford. She married Arnold Gene Mauman on Aug. 12, 1945, in Roanoke. He preceded her in death after 58 years of marriage.
Survivors include two sons, John (Nancy) Mauman, of Crown Point, and Richard (Cindy) Mauman, of Marion; two sisters, Carolyn (Glen) Bansbach, of Lakeland, FL, and Sandy Wiley, of Roanoke; three brothers, Harold (Sybble) Wohlford, of Huntington, Paul (Shirley) Wohlford, of Anderson, and Steve (Mary Ann) Wohlford, of Noblesville; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Calling is Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m, at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. A service will be held at the mortuary on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at 10 a.m., with Rev. Richard Bunnell officiating. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory, Huntington County.
