Randy L. Bennett, 58, of Markle IN, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at 3:53 p.m. at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.
Mr. Bennett was a 1972 graduate of Madison Heights High School. He worked at General Motors in Anderson and etired in 2008 from the Fort Wayne Assembly Plant. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Local 2209. He was a member, mentor and sponsor of Alcoholic's Anonymous, with 20 years of sobriety. He was a participant with the Relay for Life.
He was born Oct. 4, 1954, in Anderson to Irma (Everitt) Bennett. He married Anne O. Williamson Worley on June 3, 1989. His wife survives.
Additional survivors include a son, Michael (Jennifer) Worley, of Carmel; two daughters, Polly (Bob) Needler, of Noblesville, and Jill (Mark) Savage of Lexington; and seven grandchildren, Gavin David Worley, Bobby Needler, Cameron Needler, Andrew Needler, Tyler Savage, Parker Savage and Ryanne Savage.
Calling is Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Turnpointe Community Church, 500 W. Logan St., Markle, with Rev. Mike Shroyer officiating.
