Fred Alan Teddy, 75, of Mishawaka, IN, and a former resident of Huntington, IN, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at his home.

Mr. Teddy, a 1957 graduate of Huntington High School, served as an airman first class in the United States Air Force. He had been employed for 24 years by Ecolab and its predecessor, Huntington Laboratories. He was involved in the founding of Pathfinder Services and was the recipient of Pathfinder's LaMont Award.

He was a member of St. Mark Missionary Church, Mishawaka, and a former member of Bethel United Methodist Church, Huntington, and the Bippus Lions Club. He taught Sunday school and was a volunteer server at the Trinity United Methodist Church Thanksgiving dinner.

He was born Dec. 23, 1937, in Huntington to Pearl Obenour Teddy. He married Evelyn Ruth Brunner on Dec. 21, 1968, in Huntington. His wife survives.

Additional survivors include two sons, Brent A. (Shannon) Teddy, of Taylors, SC, and Leslie M. (Rebecca) Teddy, of South Bend; a daughter, Wanda K. Teddy, of Antioch, IL; and three grandchildren, Ryan-Tyler Teddy, of Taylors, SC, and Andrew Teddy and Joseph Teddy, both of South Bend.

Calling is Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. A service will be held at the mortuary on Friday, Jan 18, 2013, at 10 a.m., with Rev. David Sjoberg officiating. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Huntington County, with military rites by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2689.
