Eileen R. Reed, 93, of Huntington, IN, died Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at 4:39 a.m. at Parkview Huntington Hospital.

Mrs. Reed worked in production for 45 years at Schacht's Rubber Company, and prior to that she worked for Phyleen Candy Company, both of Huntington. She was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, of Huntington. She graduated in from Huntington Township High School.

She was born June 12, 1919, in Huntington to Edward R. and Alma Bowers Kern. She married Richard D. Reed on March 6, 1954, in Huntington. He preceded her in death on Jan. 6, 2006.

Surviving are a son, Paul Huett, of Huntington, and a sister, Doris Kern, of Huntington.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Star of Hope Cemetery, Huntington County, with Rev. Raymond Scribner officiating.
