Ruby J. Bell, 83, of Syracuse, IN, and a native of Huntington, IN, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at Miller's Merry Manor in Syracuse.

Mrs. Bell retired from the Syracuse Post Office.

She was born July 7, 1929, in Huntington to Rue and Goldie Feighner Hunnicutt. She married Richard Bell on July 2, 1949. Her husband preceded her in death in 2003.

Survivors include three sons, Richard (Vickie) Bell, of Texas; Robert Bell, of Florida; and Rodney (Nancy) Bell, of Syracuse; a daughter, Rhonda (Scott) Freeman, of Columbia City; three sisters, Margaret Redding, of Bluffton, and Eva Schliesser and Lucille (C.R.) Hewes, both of Florida; a brother, Max Hunnicutt, of California; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A service will be held on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at 2 p.m., with calling one hour prior to the service, at Eastlund Funeral Home, 7458E-1000N, Syracuse. Rev. Ray Olson will officiate.
