Rheva Irene Grossman, 85, of Huntington, IN, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at 9:20 p.m., at The Heritage of Huntington.
Mrs. Grossman was a 1945 graduate of Banquo High School. She was a 60-year member of the Banquo Christian Church where she was Sunday School Superintendant and Vacation Bible School Coordinator for many years and was involved in the Christian Women's Fellowship.
She was born Nov. 6, 1927 in Marion, to John and Mary Edna Douglass Good. She married James Grossman on April 30, 1950, at the Banquo Christian Church. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include three daughters, Jane (Ron) Tinkle, of Huntington; Pamela Wolfe, of Roanoke; and Diane (John) Haines, of Indianapolis; a sister, Mary Alice Durham, of Ocala, FL; eight grandchildren, Brandon (Jessica) Tinkle; Marissa Tinkle; Arianne (Sam) Robinson; Trent (Melissa) Wolfe; Troy (Megan) Wolfe; Mallory (Tim) Klausmeier; Griffin Haines; and Sam Haines; and two great-grandchildren, Liam Tinkle and Vera Wolfe.
Calling is Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington. A service will be held on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at 11 a.m. with two hours of visitation prior at the Banquo Christian Church, 8924 S. 900 W.-35, LaFontaine, with Rev. Brad Kelly officiating.
Burial will be at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Marion.
