Doris L. Brandenburg, 85, of South Whitley, IN, and having family members in Huntington, IN, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at 10:58 p.m. at the Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester.

Mrs. Brandenburg graduated from South Whitley High School in 1945. She was a homemaker.

She was born Aug. 22, 1927, in Whitley County to Clair C. and Georgia Doris Rubrake Bishop. She married Floyd R. Brandenburg on March 7, 1947. Her husband preceded her in death on Aug. 29, 2009.

Survivors include thee sons, Thomas W. Brandenburg, of Fort Wayne; Terry L. (Priscilla) Brandenburg, of South Whitley; and William C. (Elizabeth) Brandenburg, of North Manchester; two daughters, Judith Hall, of Moxee, WA, and Jeanna (John) Moore, of Pierceton; a brother, Larry (Kay) Bishop, of Huntington; a sister, Eunice (Roger) Ware, of Indianapolis; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Calling is Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Smith & Sons Miller Chapel, South Whitley. A service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at 11 a.m. Burial will be at the South Whitley Cemetery.
