Frances E. Kistler, 91, of Huntington, IN, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at 8:34 p.m. at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Kistler was a retired high school secretary. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, Women's Club and Eastern Star.

She was born Sept. 9, 1921, in Fort Edward, NY, to Wilbur and Ruth Whaley Lyons. She married Richard O. Kistler on Jan. 15, 1950, at Trinity Methodist Church, Kokomo. Her husband preceded her in death on Dec. 5, 2011.

Survivors include a son, George "Bill" (Kathy) Kistler, of San Jose, CA; a daughter, Ann (Allen) Sims, of Huntington; a brother, Richard Lyons, of Indianapolis; a sister-in-law, Martha Kistler, of Greenfield; four grandchildren, Elizabeth "Liz" (Dave) Karst, of Huntington, and Curtis Kistler, Peter Kistler and Amy Kistler Fyfe, all of San Jose, CA; and two great-grandchildren.

Calling is Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington. A service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at 1 p.m., with calling one hour prior to the service, at Christ the King Episcopal Church, 1224 N. Jefferson St., Huntington. Rev. Rich Miller will preside. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at 3:30 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery, Redkey.
