Evelyn G. Steward, 90, of Huntington, IN, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at 3:55 a.m. at Oakbrook Village.

Mrs. Steward had been employed by Memcor for more than 34 years. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary.

She was born Sept. 19, 1922, in Lodi, AR, to Charlie and Archo Breedlove Epperson. She married JD Steward on May 15, 1953, in Anderson. Her husband preceded her in death.

Survivors include a daughter, Pamela E. (Tom) Maxwell, of Huntington; a son, Jesse C. Steward, of Huntington; a brother, JD Burk, of Amity, AR; two sisters, Mable Kirkpatric, of Stephens, AR, and Carolyn Cross, of Delight, AR; none grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Calling is Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, from 10 a.m. to noon, with a service following at noon, at Deal-Rice Funeral Home-Huntington Chapel. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
