David L. Sherbahn

David L. Sherbahn, 77, of Roanoke, IN, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at 10:05 p.m. at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.

Mr. Sherbahn attended Jackson Township School and graduated from Roanoke High School in 1953. He served in the United States Army, and worked in sales at Panel Mart in Fort Wayne and Dinius Lumber in Roanoke. He was a member of Pleasant Chapel United Methodist Church, Roanoke.

He was born Dec. 18, 1935, in Whitley County to Galen and Lucille Raichart Sherbahn. He married Carolyn Gay on Jan. 18, 1958, at Pleasant Chapel United Methodist Church, and she survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Daniel (Karen) Sherbahn, of Columbia City; John David Sherbahn, of Huntington; and Dennis Sherbahn; of Fort Wayne; a brother, William (Diane) Sherbahn, of Huntington; and four granddaughters, Samantha, Jennifer, Jessica and Jocelyn Sherbahn.

Calling is Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. funeral service, at Roanoke Memorial Chapel of Deal-Rice Funeral Homes, 240 Crestwood Drive, Roanoke. Rev. Mike Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Pleasant Chapel Cemetery, Roanoke.
