Judith Ann Stein, 78, of rural Wabash, IN, and having family members in Huntington, IN, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at 11:34 p.m. at Miller's Merry Manor East, Wabash.

Mrs. Stein was a 1952 graduate of Linlawn High School. She had worked for Honeywell Inc., Heartland Career Center and Krafters Korner and served as deputy clerk of the Wabash City Court. She volunteered at the Honeywell Center, was past president and secretary of the Artis Club and was a former board member for the Flinn Community in Marion.

She was a 60-year member of the Wabash Christian Church, where she sang in the church choir, was a member and treasurer of the Christian Women's Fellowship, served as a deaconess and trustee and was membership clerk for the church.

She was born June 26, 1934, in Wabash County to Jerry C. and Lovah Lavengood Hoy. She married Ronald G. Stein on Nov. 17, 1957, at the Wabash Christian Church. Her husband survives.

Additional survivors include two daughters, Julia (Larry) Rensberger, of Roann, and Diana (Jerry) Cassity, of Freedom; two brothers, James (Marilyn) Hoy, of Huntington, and Jon (Jeannette) Hoy of Solsberry; a sister, Mary Evans, of Pine Bluff, AR; five grandchildren, Tabatha (Bob) Fairchild, of Wabash; Drew Rensberger, of Roann; Alexis (Jon) Kowalczyk, of Greenwood; Jared (Amber) Cassity, of Freedom; and Kevin (Shayli) Cassity, of Elletsville; and seven great-grandchildren.

Calling is Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash. A service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at 10 a.m., with Rev. Melinda Kammerer officiating. Entombment will be at the Chapel of Remembrance Mausoleum at Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash.
