Victoria L. Hardin, 66, of Petroleum, IN, and having ties to Huntington County, IN, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at 6 a.m. at her home.
Mrs. Hardin attended Muncie Central High School. She had worked with her brother at County Line Towing, Markle, for more than 20 years. She attended the Etna Avenue Wesleyan Church, Huntington.
She was born July 26, 1946, in Muncie to Calvin Lee and Thomasine Brannon Higdon. She married Carl J. Hardin Sr. on May 12, 1969, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 17, 2006.
Survivors include three sons, Carl J. Hardin Jr., of Marion; Johnny N. Ridge, of Petroleum; and Bill (Shelia) Maggard, of Texas; five daughters, Brenda (Randy) Wolfe, of Bluffton; Cindy (Todd) Landrum, of Berne; Betty (Jeff) Bolding, of Warren; Gwen Cavanaugh, of Petroleum; and Hope Garrett, of Muncie; a brother, Calvin D. Higdon, of Geneva; a half-sister, Deanne Mensen, of Lafayette; 25 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A service was held on Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at the Thoma/Rich, Chaney and Lemler Funeral Home, Bluffton, with Rev. Tom Bradley officiating. Burial was at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Memorial gifts may be made for breast cancer research or to the Friends of the Wells County Animal Shelter.
