Earl R. 'Bob' Rickard

Earl R. ‘Bob' Rickard, 83, of Huntington, IN, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at 7:15 p.m. at the Norwood Health and Rehabilitation Center, Huntington.
Mr. Rickard graduated from Monaca High School in Monaca, PA, in 1947 and from Indiana Technical Institute in 1957. He worked at J&L Steel in Aliquippa, PA, for a year before serving in the United States Navy from 1948 to 1952. He worked as a draftsman at International Harvester, Fort Wayne, for 33 years, retiring in 1989.
He was born Feb. 21, 1929, in Blairsville, PA, to James L. and Marie I. Lowman Rickard.
Survivors include three sons, Alan M. Rickard, of Arvada, CO, and Mark R. (Bonnie) Rickard and Wayne S. Rickard, both of Huntington; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Calling is Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., with a service following at 3 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington. Interment will take place at a later date.
Memorial gifts may be made to Pleasant Chapel United Methodist church in care of Myers Funeral Home.
