Jerry W. Hysong, 59, of Huntington, IN, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at 10:54 a.m. at Parkview Huntington Hospital.
Mr. Hysong graduated in 1971 from Huntington North High School. He worked at Pearson's Body Shop, Huntington, as a repairman from 1982 to 2011. He had previously worked at Southworth Ford, Marion. He was a member of American Legion Post 7, Huntington, and a former scoutmaster for Troop 117.
He was born April 19, 1953, in Huntington to Daniel and Inez Boger Hysong His mother survives in Huntington. He married Linda Benson on May 26, 1984. She preceded him in death after 20 years of marriage.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Jessica Renee Hysong, of Richland Center, WI; a son, Justin Ross Hysong, of Markle; three brothers, Daniel (Linda) Hysong and David (Tammy) Hysong, both of Huntington, and Gary (Kim) Hysong, of Flowery Branch, GA; a sister-in-law, Pamela L. (Jerry) Gaskill, of Huntington; and a brother-in-law, Wayne Benson, of Huntington.
Calling is Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. A service will be held at the mortuary on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at 10 a.m., with Rev. Matthew Snodderly officiating. Burial will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Huntington.
