Josephine Jackson

Josephine Jackson, 88, of North Manchester, IN, and having family members in Huntington, IN, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at 12:12 a.m. at Wabash County Hospital, Wabash.

Mrs. Jackson had been employed by Heckman Bindery, North Manchester, for 27 years.

She was born in Kewanee, Pike County, KY, to Robert and Virgie Ray Justice. She married F. Monroe Bumgardner on May 29, 1945, and he preceded her in death on May 24, 1986. She married Clint Jackson on Jan. 23, 1988, and he preceded her in death on June 15, 2008.

Survivors include a son, George (Kathy) Bumgardner, of Houston, TX; two daughters, Virginia (Herbert) Gunter and Sheila (Randy) Frederick, both of North Manchester; two stepsons, Roger Douglas, of Fort Wayne, and Timothy (Kathy) Jackson, of Laketon; two stepdaughters, Glenda (Richard) Short, of Virginia, and Sharon (Darrell) Hopkins, of North Manchester; a sister, Jacqueline Hamilton, of Wellston, OH; three grandchildren, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Gunter, of Eyota, MN; Michelle (Randy) Glover, of North Manchester; and Kimberly Frederick, of Huntington; 15 step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Calling is Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 Ind.-114 West, North Manchester. A service will be held at the mortuary on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at 1 p.m., with Rev. J.P. Freeman officiating. Entombment will be at Johnson Memorial Mausoleum, Pikeville, KY.
