Billy D. Carrico

Billy D. Carrico, 86, of Fort Wayne, IN, and having ties to Huntington, IN, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home.
Mr. Carrico was a World War II veteran, serving in the United States Navy. He retired in 1989 from Our Sunday Visitor, Huntington. He was a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Fort Wayne Club of Printing House Craftsmen and Master Gardeners Association.
He was born May 25, 1926, in Terre Haute. He is survived by his wife, Bettie A. Carrico.
Additional survivors include four daughters, Terrie Carrico and Laura Carrico, both of Fort Wayne; Mary (Bryce) Burnworth, of Columbia City; and Betsy (Ron) Spiegel, of North Webster; a son, Brother Mark Carrico, OFM Cap., of Detroit, MI; seven grandchildren, Rachel (Miles) Malstaff, Joey (Kristen) Spiegel, Eric (Ashlee) Burnworth, Benjamin Burnworth, Vincent Burnworth, Amber Marley (David) Gavilanez and Carrie Marley; and five great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Fort Wayne.
Memorial gifts may be made to the American Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society or Honor Flight Northeast Indiana.
Klaehn, Fahl and Melton Winchester Road Chapel, Fort Wayne, was in charge of arrangements.
