Leland M. Cross, 51, of Fort Wayne, IN, and having family members in Huntington County, IN, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at his home.

Mr. Cross graduated in 1979 from Huntington North High School. He had worked at Alro Steel for more than 25 years and was a member of the Steelworkers Union.

He was born July 21, 1961, in Decatur to Raymond Milbern and Lavonne E. Strahm Cross. His father survives in Roanoke.

Additional survivors include two sons, Ryan Cross, of Markle, and Austin Cross, of Hoagland; two daughters, Rachel Cross and Rose Cross, both of Hoagland; a brother, Melvin Ray Cross, of Niles, MI; three sisters, Berna Mae (Mike) Anderson and Amanda Cross, both of Roanoke, and Myrna (Tim) Schoeff, of Huntington; and a granddaughter, Kali Bateman.

Calling is Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, from 10 a.m. to noon at Roanoke Memorial Chapel of Deal-Rice Funeral Homes, Roanoke. A graveside service will follow at noon at Glenwood Cemetery, Roanoke.
