Gregory Lee Thompson, 52, of Gillsville, GA, and a former resident of Huntington, IN, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at his home following a brief illness.

Mr. Thompson was employed by Ewie, Inc.

He was born Feb. 22, 1961, in Paintsville, KY, to Leslie Sr. and Janice Sue Hicks Thompson. His parents survive in Kentucky. He married Teresa Goings, who survives.

Additional survivors include two daughters, Marissa Thompson, of Gillsville, GA, and Heather Thompson, of Michigan; a son, Joel Goings, of Gillsville, GA; three brothers, Ronnie Thompson, of South Carolina; Leslie Thompson Jr., of Indiana; and Michael Thompson, of Kentucky; and a sister, Sandy Thompson, of Alabama.

A service will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at 6 p.m., with calling one hour prior to the service, at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Rd., Gainesville, GA. Rev. Alex Stevens will officiate.
