Ruth A. Smith

Ruth A. Smith, 80, of Van Buren, IN, and having family members in Zanesville, IN, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at her home.

Mrs. Smith was a homemaker.

She was born Aug. 18, 1932, in Swayzee to Charles and Hilda Peterson Faulk. She married Harry A. Smith in 1951, and he survives.

Additional survivors include a daughter, Dianna Stewart, of Van Buren; a son, Floyd (Aloma) Smith Sr., of Brownsburg; six sisters, Sandy Peterson and Marie Hannah, both of Fairmount; Joan Lee and Darlene Rish, both of Van Buren; Mary Barton, of Marion; and Joyce Cook, of Zanesville; two grandsons, Floyd (Mary) Smith Jr., of Van Buren, and Brian K. (Bethany) Smith, of Pembina, ND; and five great-grandchildren.

Calling is Sunday, March 3, 2013, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., with a service following at 3 p.m., at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion. Rev. Mick Simpkins will officiate. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson.
