Lori Ann Newsome, 50, of Huntington, IN, died Friday, March 1, 2013, at 3:55 p.m. at her home.
Mrs. Newsome worked for eight years at the Huntington County Jail in the commissary, and prior to that she was the owner of the Tanfastic Tanning Salon in Huntington. She was a member of the American Legion Post 248 in Lagro and a member of the Gethsemane Ministries Church of Huntington.
She was born Feb. 19, 1963, in Huntington to Wayne and Nannette Satterwaite Caley. Her first husband, Galen Lahr, preceded her in death. She married Roger L. Newsome, on Feb. 19, 1993, in Huntington. Her husband survives, as does her mother.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Jessica (Josh) Lewis, of Andrews, and Heather Newsome, of Warren; two sons, Ryan (Angela) Lahr, of Huntington, and Roger L. Newsome III, of Bluffton; two sisters, Pamela (Michael) Stanley and Janice Searles, both of Huntington; two brothers, Michael (Debbie) Caley, of Des Moines, IA, and Jeffery (Mary) Caley, of Huntington; and seven grandchildren, Korbin and Kamden Lahr, Dalton and Bailey Davis, Zander Lewis, Ayden Harness and Cayden Newsome.
Calling is Monday, March 4, 2013, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Gethsemane Ministries Church, 2239 Hartman St., Huntington, with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Rev. Worlie Newsome Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul's County Line Church Cemetery, Huntington.
