Glen Ray "Booty" Fahrnow, 70, of North Manchester, IN, and having ties to Huntington, IN, died Friday, March 8, 2013, at 12:30 a.m. at his home.
Mr. Fahrnow was a 1960 graduate of Huntington High School and received a Bachelor of Science in 1964 from Huntington College, where he played baseball and basketball. He retired from Bentz Metals in Fort Wayne after 15 years and also worked at Parker Industries in Silver Lake for 20 years and part-time at Liquid Assets in North Manchester. He was a member of the Congregational Christian Church in North Manchester.
He was born Oct. 27, 1942, in Huntington, to Carl and Meta Reddick Fahrnow. He married Judy Davis in Huntington on Aug. 8, 1964. His wife survives.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Angela Marie Fahrnow, and Amy Kay Fahrnow, both of North Manchester; a son, Douglas Clayton (Angela) Fahrnow, of New Palestine; two sisters, Sharon (Jim) Smart, of Perkinsville, and Margie Himes, of Fort Wayne; and four grandchildren, Ashlee Noel Fahrnow, Clayton Douglas Fahrnow, Jack Tyler Fahrnow and Emily Kay Fahrnow, all of New Palestine.
Calling is Tuesday, March 12, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, March 13, 2013, for one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service, at Congregational Christian Church, 310 N. Walnut St., in North Manchester. Rev. J.P. Freeman will officiate.
Preferred memorial is to Congregational Christian Church.
